Legal Disclosure

This page sets out the information a seller must publish under Article 11 of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions. It applies to sales of seeds, saplings, tools and related goods, and to gardening services booked through this website.

Price of goods and services

Prices are shown on each product and service page in Japanese Yen and include consumption tax. Because orders are placed by telephone, the binding total — including tax and delivery — is confirmed verbally during the order call before the contract is formed.

Additional charges

• Seed packets: delivery ¥400 flat, free on orders over ¥3,000.
• Tools: free within Beppu and Oita City on orders over ¥8,000, otherwise ¥800. Yufu, Hiji and Kitsuki add ¥600.
• Saplings: ¥1,200 per delivery within Beppu and Oita City. Larger specimens quoted individually.
• Service sites outside the standard coverage area carry a travel supplement, quoted before work begins.
• There are no handling, subscription or hidden fees of any kind.

Accepted payment methods

• Cash on delivery.
• Bank transfer (transfer fees payable by the customer).
• Credit card, when collecting in person from the garden.

No payment card details are collected through this website.

Payment timing

• Goods: payable on delivery or on collection. Orders above ¥30,000 may require a deposit at the time of order.
• Services up to ¥100,000: payable in full on completion.
• Services above ¥100,000: 30 % on acceptance, 40 % at the agreed stage, balance within 14 days of completion.
• Maintenance contracts: billed monthly in advance.

Delivery timing

• Goods in stock are normally delivered on the next working day after the order call.
• Seasonal items such as seeds and saplings are delivered within the planting window confirmed on the call.
• Services are scheduled at the time of booking; tree and shrub planting may be deliberately deferred to the correct planting season.

Returns, cancellation and refunds

Goods

• Unused tools in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Refund is issued less return carriage.
• Unopened seed packets may be returned within 14 days. Opened seed cannot be returned.
• Living plants and saplings cannot be returned once delivered, except where defective on arrival or under the establishment guarantee.
• Faulty or incorrectly supplied goods are replaced or refunded in full, including carriage both ways.
• Report visible transit damage within 48 hours of delivery.

Services

• Booked visits may be cancelled free of charge more than 48 hours in advance.
• Cancellation within 48 hours may incur up to 50 % of the visit value.
• Design and build work cancelled after acceptance is charged for work completed, materials and plants already purchased, and design time spent.
• Maintenance contracts may be cancelled by either party on 30 days' written notice.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method, or by bank transfer, within 14 days of agreement.

Guarantees

• Saplings planted by us: 90-day establishment guarantee, subject to the written care schedule being followed.
• Saplings planted by the customer: 30 days against defect present on arrival.
• Seeds: germination rate as stated on the packet, when sown as directed within the stated season.
• Hand tools: 12 months against manufacturing defect. Power tools and smart devices: 24 months. Blades and consumables excluded.
• Installation workmanship: 12 months.

Special conditions

• There is no online checkout. A contract of sale is formed only when the order is confirmed verbally on the order call.
• Blades, power tools, sprayers and chemical products are not sold to anyone under 18 years of age.
• Pesticides are supplied and applied only in accordance with Japanese law and product labelling.
• Living plants vary naturally in size, form and colour. Illustrations on this site are stylised and not photographs of the exact item supplied.
